The Division of Social Medicine’s clinical faculty offer a variety of clinical services through Providence Health Care (PHC) for individuals requiring addiction treatment and/or harm reduction. PHC currently operates one of the largest and busiest interdisciplinary Clinical Addiction Programs in North America at St. Paul’s Hospital.

Clinical services offered by UBC faculty at St. Paul’s Hospital (1081 Burrard St, Vancouver) include:
- The Addiction Medicine Consult Team (AMCT): a referral-based consultative service for inpatients at St. Paul’s Hospital
- The Rapid Access Addiction Clinic (RAAC): a temporary stabilization clinic, where the patient – once stabilized – is subsequently transferred to a community care provider for ongoing monitoring, support and rehabilitation
- The Opioid Stewardship Program: a systems-level intervention developed to address prescription opioid misuse and dependence by assessing patients throughout the hospital and providing recommendations for safe pain management
